9) Highlight the connection called MCB Pay as you go and select File | Properties.

10) Check use country code and area code

11) Check the other settings look ok and select Server Type

12) Type of Dialup Server should say:

PPP; Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5, Internet

3) Select Network

4) Make sure that TCP/IP is listed as a network component and if not add it by doing the following:

a) click Add

b) Select Protocol

c) Click Add

d) Select Microsoft for the manuafacturer

e) Select TCP/IP as the network Protocol

f) Select OK and follow any additional instructions.

5) Highlight TCP/IP and click Properties.

6) Press the IP Address Tab

a) Enable Obtain an IP Address automatically.

7) Press then DNS Configuration Tab

a) Click Disable DNS

8) Then click the gateway tab. There should not be any installed. If there are, remove them.

9) Select OK | OK |

10) You should now be asked to restart your computer and you should do this now.

The first time you start up the connection, you should be presented with a screen containing blank entries for username and password (the telephone number should say 0870 6241100). Enter the value in HOST from you connection sheet for the username (all lowercase) and the value in Connection/POP3 Password for your password (this is case sensative). Click the save password box.

That should have sorted out all the configuration settings for Windows95, but if anything fails go back and check all these settings. Windows95 has a habit of disabling things like the Gateway and DNS settings in Network when you are not looking!
